Distilled Dry Gin Bacûr owes its unique character to the botanicals used to produce it. Juniper berries, sage leaves and lemon zest are left to macerate in a solution of water and alcohol for a long time; after that, double distillation takes place, clearing the liquid from possible unwanted hints and leading to an elegant distillate with a fine, clean bouquet.

Gin is a strong and aromatic distillate. Its origin is linked to a Dutch professor of medicine and physics, Franciscus De La Boe, who deepened and studied the properties of juniper essential oils, obtained by redistilling an infusion of these macerated berries in pure alcohol. It was then used by English soldiers returning from the Netherlands and in England it soon became a well known drink. Box.

Christian Drouin is a well-known and much-adored Calvados producer, but the distillers have put aside the traditional French spirit for something a little different – gin! They have create a base spirit from 30 varieties of cider apple, and have taken inspiration from the flavours frequently found in Calvados to come up with the botanical recipe, which features lemon, ginger, rose, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla and almond.
A gin from the famous Douro wine region in Portugal made with six botanicals including Tinta Amarela grapes. It aims to balance sufficiently classic style with the irreverence of a truly ‘new’ gin.
The Citadelle Jardin D Ete (Summer Garden) has a intensely fresh nose with scents of citrus fruit (coming from yuzu, orange peel and candied lemon) and juniper berries being instantly recognizable. Domaine du Coquerel has been producing Calvados since 1937 and is now in its third generation with Pierre, at the helm of the company; after 6 months spent in India, Pierre discovered, in addition to a new civilization, new flavors, smells and colors and, a great Gin lover, he decided to produce, in the family distillery, his version of the famous white distillate. From the savoir faire of Domaine du Coquerel was born the Gin Normindia, 100% artisan which, in the balance between softness, sweetness and spiciness, pays homage to the land that inspired it. Produced by 15 botanicals, of which 8 are declared, Normindia is distilled in the same still used for Calvados and is a very special Gin that tends to appeal to the most curious palates.
A total of twelve botanicals are used to make this powerful, full-bodied London dry gin, including juni¬per, orange, cinnamon, paradise seed, Madagascan vanilla and cardamom. On the nose, DelRey Premium London Dry Gin is a smooth gin with a predominant scent of citrus, complemented by soft notes of vanilla and a powerful hint of juniper berries. The palate is powerful and spicy. The juniper and cardamom are clearly present and are complemented by sweet, warm notes of vanilla, cardamom and cinnamon. The finish is tight, long and heaty due to the grains.
Tarquin’s Cornish Dry Gin is produced at the Southwestern Distillery. Made with botanicals from around the world, including handpicked Devon violets. For a very Cornish Martini, add five parts gin with one part dry vermouth and add a drop of Tarquin’s Cornish Pastis.
