This is a softer, more sophisticated version of the popular Old Monk 7 Year Old rum from India. This was distilled from molasses and aged for a minimum of 12 years in oak barrels. It is dryer and spicier than its younger sibling with complex notes of cinnamon, clove and chocolate. It drinks beautifully on its own, and also makes a high quality mixer.

This Golden Rum is Deep Dark Brown in colour. Nose opens with a sweet fruity aroma reminiscent of Banana, Dried fruit, Figs and Dried orange. With these aromatic nuances, Bourbon Vanilla also plays. Palate opens with a notes of Burnt caramel, Nuts and Molasses and grilled Woods always very present.
